Best Friends of Shelter Pets

Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)

If you are receiving Medicaid or DHS assistance and have a Oklahoma Health Care Authority or Access card you may qualify for Best Friends of Shelter Pets Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).  You may contact them at www.bestfriendsokc.org or 405-629-6795.  Their fees are $10 for a cat spay or neuter and $20 for a dog spay or neuter.  Volunteers for Animal Welfare's SPOT Clinic is one of their over 30 participating veterinary clinics.  You must apply and subsequently receive a voucher from Best Friends to receive the lower fees at our SPOT Clinic.  Best Friends also has a program for pet owners regardless of income.  The fees are $35 for a male cat, $60 for a female cat, $70 for a male dog, and $90 for a female dog.
